We took a catamaran tour Monday up the coast for snorkeling. Location was awesome for easy dinners and the kids could even walk back from the bars in the evening. Although Uber was super easy also.

From the moment we arrived and we were greeted with such warmth with a fast checkin process, to the friendly and happy staff around the pool, at the restaurants, and in housekeeping, we felt like we were in a “home away from home”. Our room was also outstanding with the most amazing view along Medano beach. They also have a big market, deli and ice cream shop in case you want to get something to go. We also had zero issues with our bill and they held our luggage for a few hours so we could enjoy them at the pool. The view of lands end from the pool is outstanding and we saw fireworks both nights from our room with a generous balcony. We just had a wonderful experience and we travel a lot and have stayed at some beautiful hotels, but if you want beauty, cleanliness, super service, good food, and a very welcoming atmosphere, you cannot get any better than this hotel!   When we travel down to Cabo san Lucas it is for a myriad of reasons. The sand, the beach, the sun, the weather, the relaxation. We go for the ambience, the easy atmosphere, the festive vibe to get rest and less stress and sleep. Perhaps even more so we go for the food. Lobster, crab, shrimp and steak are consistently excellent and available in town at places like Maro's Shrimp House and Crazy Lobster and Pancho's and Tres Islas for amazingly low prices. Then, for 5-star service and top notch dishes, albeit in a higher price range, you have Edith's and Bar Esquina and Tres Sirenas. What we probably don't think about is the spirit of the hard working people at VLE who wait on us hand and foot. People like Tere Andraca who, after having served us for more than a decade, has become a true friend who's company and attitude we enjoy every time we stay at VLE. Tere asks about our children, we ask about hers. She is patient with my dad jokes, listens attentively and will go the extra mile to service any request. It wouldn't be the same in Cabo at VLE for us without Tere. It's the demeanor and enthusiasm shown by the Mexican people, exemplified by Tere, that provides the icing...
